Sunset of Home
Some places have so many memories they are more like past lives.
Mountains simply have the talent to make you feel small but very important.
Maui Boat Races
My favorite photos are the views I just happen upon. This was a typical day for these racers but a beautiful sight for me.
We drove up to the top of Haleakala around 3 am and waited for this. We left happy and grateful that Maui said hello
Although it was a moody day, this beachside view on our way to Red Sand Beach was perfect.
Three Ships Sunset
Best night of the trip. It's like these sailboats were just posing for photos.
Blue Water White Sand
I have never seen water so blue or sand so white.
Palms and Boats
I have always loved sailboats. Kihei is beautiful.
Red Sand Blue Water
Red Sand Beach is beyond gorgeous. When we first climbed around the corner I could not believe the color was real.
This was shot in the middle of the ocean right before we jumped off the boat for some snorkeling. The water was literally this clear. I just watched the colorful fish for a bit.
Niagara Falls in the Fall is a must see.
New York Night Lights
I saw New York for the first time this summer. It was beyond beautiful at night. This was the show we were given as we rode the ferry out of town on our last night. Gorgeous
Winter hikes have always been a favorite of mine. Snow silences almost everything, it's incredible how peaceful the woods become.
Rowena the Beautiful
This was a view I had wanted to see for years. It did not disappoint, it made my little heart dance.
Cannons on the Beach
Cannon Beach was amazing in sight and sound. The waves truly sound like cannons as they crash into these rock formations.
Rowena at Night
I slept in my car in a hotel parking lot so that I could wake up close enough to this viewpoint without having to drive far. It was then that I realized we make our own reality.
Destin for flight
I am always amazed at how much power resides in nature. This place is not only gorgeous but it makes you feel like anything is possible, which it is.
This was the bluest sunset I have ever seen. The glassy beach created a mirror-like effect from almost all angles. It was breathtaking and dream fulfilling.
We almost passed right by this little spot, luckily we found it and got to explore this place that made me feel like we just stepped into a Lord of The Rings movie.
Seagulls are constantly flying around Haystack Rock, but this one left his friends there in the background and came to get his close up.
If this were my dock you would never be able to tear me away from it. This view exemplifies Heaven for me.
This little waterhole was hidden until a local told us where to find it. We hopped some logs, trudged through some underbrush, scraped some shins, scaled some dirt ravines, and enjoyed every minute of the sound of rushing water.
Sail Your Ship
We were the only paddleboat on the lake and they were the only sailboat. It was pretty cool to have a huge lake all to ourselves floating in silence.
This river runs through the city of Boise and was my first nature scene I shot within a city. It was a lesson to myself that beautiful things can be found anywhere if you're willing to look.
